Cone Flower in Yellow and Blue

Today I've decided to share with you a card I made a while ago, the pic has been sitting there waiting for me to get back into posting on my blog more regularly so I thought it was time to bring it into the spotlight.
I was playing with Paper Artsy Dylusions powder pigments and first stamped this gorgeous Cone Flower image from the Stampers Anonymous Flower Garden stamp set.  I used Versamark ink and white embossing powder.  I then used a small amount of 'Golden Sands' Infusion, mixing the crystals with a little water to create a background wash on a piece of water colour paper.  Once dry I mixed a stronger solution from 'Royal Blood' Infusions and painted the flower heads and stems.  I then splattered more of the paint over the background using a paint brush.

I used SU! 'Night of Navy' ink to drag round edges of the painted panel and to stamp the frame and sentiment from the Rubbernecker 'Freehand Phrase #900' stamp set on a scrap of plain watercolour paper, which I attached over the background.  I then mounted the panel onto a piece of cream card and then another of navy before attaching to the base card.

I love how this card turned out, hope you do too.  Thanks for dropping by I hope you'll call back again.

Hugs

Birthday Card for a Pal

Oh Boy ! It's been such a long time since I have posted anything on here and I've yet to come to grips with the changes that have been made by Blogger since I last posted.

Thanks so much all of you that have popped by to check for new work or to review some of my older creations whilst I've been 'resting' from Blogging.

I really haven't been in the mood for much crafting for a while and not felt able to share the few things I have done.  I've done quite a lot of crochet and knitting to fill my resting times, maybe I'll share some pix of the other things I've been getting up to.

I thought I'd break myself back into Blogging gently with the pretty card below, which was one I made for a Pal's birthday a while back.

Of course, after so long I have to try to remember the products and techniques I used to create this, apologies if I get some of the things wrong !  Please do let me know if you spot that I've made an error and I will correct.

It's very simple really, background created using sprinkles of Brusho Powders then spritzed with water and left to develop.  The main image is from Penny Black, stamped and heat embossed then coloured using Gellatos mixed with water and brushed on.

I can't remember which company's stamp I used for the sentiment, sorry.

The Brusho'd background was gently edged with purple Stickles, as was the sentiment panel.

That's it from me for my first Blog in a while, I'll try to post up a few more in the coming days.

Happy Crafting Folks.

Love 'n' Hugs
